You Are Not Alone: A Caregivers Support Group

The Lay Ministry Team is offering an in-person support group for anyone who cares for a loved one.

The group will meet twice a month at the Fellowship on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, beginning on Wednesday, November 20, at 7:00 pm.

Anyone who cares for a loved one is our definition of “caregiver” for this group.

A “support group” is to provide a safe and confidential space for people to share their experiences, feelings, and challenges while caring for a loved one.

Support group members will receive support from others who can relate. Members can share their personal stories and coping strategies and learn from other member’s experiences.

The group will be facilitated by lay minister Angelika Pittet, with co-facilitation support from fellow lay minister Scott Ertl. Scott is a retired School Counselor, and current volunteer with Hospice. Angelika has 13 years of experience as a support group facilitator. She is a retired Gerontologist and Dementia Care Professional, and a Master Trainer for PAC (Positive Approach to Care) as well as “the Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer’s”.
