Rohatsu Retreat Hosted by Boundless Heart

Rohatsu (Bodhi Day) holds a lot of significance for those who practice Zen Buddhism. It’s a day that commemorates the Buddha's enlightenment, which acts as a source of inspiration for all practitioners on their own spiritual journeys.

Essentially, the holiday and celebrations surrounding it highlight the potential for anyone to attain enlightenment through dedicated practice and meditation, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Boundless Heart is hosting Rohatsu Day of Zazen, an all day retreat on Saturday, December 6, from 8 am to 3 pm at the UU Fellowship of Winston-Salem. Participants will observe noble silence throughout the day.

Schedule Subject to Reality:
7:30 am Coffee and tea, light healthy snacks (all day)
8:00 – 9:30 am Zazen, kinhin, zazen, kinhin, zazen, fukanzazengi
9:30 break
10 am – 10:45 Dharma reflection and zazen
10:45 - 11:15 break
11:15 -12:00 Zazen-kinhin-zazen
12:00 – 1:00 Meal chant, Lunch and Rest
1:00-2:00 Tai Chi with Misako Kay
2:15-3:00 Zazen, closing
